Construction at the Metalkol RTR project is progressing well. Preparations are being made for business readiness, resource allocations and the hiring of key staff members and contractors.
So far on this project, over 6 million safe work hours have been recorded without a single lost time incident. This world-class achievement is an excellent reflection of the safety culture on the site.
Conducive to this accomplishment has been weekly housekeeping competitions and 8 400 random alcohol tests in the last fortnight alone. In addition, project construction and administration staff have attended 1321 safety training courses this year.
Commissioning of the plant is due to start in the second half of 2018.
