The Boss Life of Mine Study

A seven-month Boss Life of Mine Study is under way, conducted by managing consultant AMEC Foster Wheeler. Sub-consultants will also contribute to the final study report.

ERGA’s in-house teams have already found that through a number of step-wise interventions, there is potential to generate a tenfold increase in cobalt production and a doubling of copper production. With the right investment environment, these increases could all come into effect over the next four to six years.

The aim of the current study is to examine the best way to improve Boss Mining Asset Value by demonstrating options for treating additional tailings, oxides and sulphides feed sources. The study is independent from any current operational debottlenecking projects and from any cobalt-specific targeted explorations. Ongoing resource definition and the ability to quickly and efficiently convert these dormant resources into reserves will greatly increase the value of Boss Mining.
